Dear Parents/Carers,

Homework Projects

We have been impressed with the quality of homework projects that have been submitted by pupils both before and after the half term break. Many thanks for your continued support.

The projects and models will be available to view in the hall during both Parents Evenings next week. Please do come in to have a look at the children’s work.

Girls Football Tournament

Well done, to the Girls Football team! Lucy, Billi, Leshai, Gemma, Lara, Esme, Kacey and Ria played their hearts out at the girls Havering Schools Football Tournament just before half term. They lost 3, won 1 and drew 1 game in their pool. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get us into the finals but the girls tried their best and improved as a team with every game they played! They were awarded a rare ‘passion’ sticker by our referee as he felt the girls showed this core sporting value in their games.  A big well done to Lucy who impressed the Chelsea Football Club scouts who have invited her to a training session at Chelsea Football Club.

Thank you to all the girls, their parents and Miss Morgan for their continued support!

World Book Day on Thursday 1st March

To celebrate this we would like to invite the children to dress up as their favourite character from a book. This could be a book they have studied in school or one that they enjoy reading at home.

Your child will be participating in various 'book-themed' activities throughout the day and they will be able to bring their favourite books into school and share them with their classmates.

The Romford Recorder will also be visiting the school to take pictures of some of the children in their outfits to feature in their World Book Day supplement.

Parents Evening

We would like to remind you that our Spring term Parents’ Evening meetings are taking place on Wednesday 28th February and Thursday 1st March. If you have not received your appointment time please contact the school office.

Early Drop Off

We have a number of children arriving for school before the gates open at 8.30am. We cannot allow children into the playground before this time as we do not have members of staff on duty to supervise them. If your child does arrive at school earlier on an odd occasion then they must report to the school office and wait in the foyer until 8.30am. However, if your child regularly arrives at school early you will be required to book them into Breakfast Club which is run by the Infant school.

P.E. Kit

We still have a number of children who do not have their P.E. kits in school. Unfortunately we only have a very limited amount of spare P.E. kit in school so children have to miss their P.E. lessons due to not having the correct kit.  In one class alone on Tuesday we had nine children without PE kits! Please therefore ensure that your child’s P.E. kit remains in school during term time and is returned to school on the first day back if it is taken home during the holidays for washing.
