Ofsted Report

Dec. 14, 2018, 3:38 p.m.

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are delighted to announce that, after inspecting the school last week, Ofsted have graded the school “good” in all areas.

The report recognises the hard work and determination of staff and governors to tackle previous weaknesses, raise aspirations and drive improvements. It also highlights that strong leadership and improved teaching have led to improved outcomes. As a result, pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

Inspectors also recognised the school's work to promote pupils' personal development and welfare as "outstanding". They found that leaders and teachers have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and as result they conduct themselves extremely well. In their discussions with children, inspectors found that pupils are confident and self-assured learners who are proud of their school and their achievements.

On behalf of the whole school team, I would like to thank you for your continued support. We would particularly like to say thank you to all the children of Squirrels Heath Junior School whose passion for learning and enthusiasm continues to drive us forward.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Shipton

Headteacher
