School Newsletter Mar 2016

March 1, 2016, 12:35 p.m.

Dear Parents / Carers,

Congratulations to Drake who are the winning house this half term. Children in Drake are invited to wear home clothes to school on Monday 11th April. Children in other houses must come to school in their school uniform.

Sponsored Skip

Thank you to all those children who have brought in their sponsored skip money. So far we have raised approx. £400. If anyone is still collecting their sponsor money please bring it into school after the holiday. We will let you know our final total when it has all been counted.

We would like to remind you that children are not allowed to wear earrings to school. If you want to have children’s ears pierced they should have it done at the start of the summer holidays so that the piercing has 6 weeks to heal and the earrings can then be removed on school days.

We have noticed that some girls are wearing nail varnish to school. Please ensure that this is always removed before school.

May we also remind you that all children are required to wear plain black shoes which are suitable for school. If for any reason your child needs to wear trainers to school then they must bring a letter in to their teacher with an explanation.

As part of our Healthy Schools initiative we do not allow the eating of biscuits, chocolate or crisps as a snack at breaktime. If your child wishes to bring in a snack please send in a piece of fruit or veg to be eaten during morning break.

Easter - Roll a Coin

Thank you for your support with our roll a coin event. The children really enjoyed taking part. All the winners received their Easter eggs in assembly this morning.
