School Newsletter May 2016

May 27, 2016, 12:35 p.m.

Dear Parents / Carers,

Congratulations to Scott who are the winning house this half term. Children in Scott are invited to wear home clothes to school on Monday 6th June. Children in other houses must come to school in their school uniform.

The Boys and Girls Cricket teams have both taken part in tournaments at Rainham Cricket Club this week. Congratulations to both teams for playing and representing our school so well. Thank you to Mr Lawler for organising and accompanying the teams to the event.

We would like to remind you that children are not allowed to wear earrings to school. If you want to have children’s ears pierced they should have it done at the start of the summer holidays so that the piercing has 6 weeks to heal and the earrings can then be removed on school days.

We have noticed that some girls are wearing nail varnish to school. Please ensure that this is always removed before school.

May we also remind you that all children are required to wear plain black shoes which are suitable for school. If for any reason your child needs to wear trainers to school then they must bring a letter in to their teacher with an explanation.

We would like to remind you that as part of our Healthy Schools initiative we do not allow the eating of biscuits, chocolate or crisps as a snack at breaktime. If your child wishes to bring in a snack please send in a piece of fruit or veg to be eaten during morning break.

Next Half Term

We have a very busy half term coming up after the break. Please ensure you make a note of all the dates (listed below) as many of them are events that parents are invited to attend.
